Oceanus Coastal Engineers carried out a comprehensive technical and financial review of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) prepared by BMT India for the proposed captive port facility at Kori Creek, Gujarat, being developed by Shree Cements Limited. The project involved the development of a dedicated clinker and coal handling terminal to support the company’s growing logistics and raw material requirements. Oceanus’s scope included critical evaluation of the original design concepts, layout, and proposed infrastructure, with a focus on cost optimization and operational feasibility.

The team re-assessed the material handling systems, berthing arrangements, and dredging requirements to identify areas for technical improvement and financial efficiency. A revised cost estimate was computed, incorporating more practical and cost-effective alternatives without compromising functionality or regulatory compliance. This review provided Shree Cements with a more robust, optimized plan for project implementation, ensuring enhanced viability and strategic alignment with long-term logistics goals.
